In January 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo was introduced to Al Nassr fans in a stadium called Mrsool Park.
A whole stadium, named after a Saudi delivery app.
The story began with a busy employee, Naif Alsamri, who couldn't find time to run his family's errands.
So he asked: why not have someone who lives nearby bring them, on his way?
With his partner Ayman Alsanad, he built the app in their spare time. Mrsool launched in 2015.
The idea: you write your order, anything, from any shop.
Couriers give you delivery price offers, and you choose.
Today, Mrsool's website says it has more than 15 million customers and more than 260 million orders.
In 2021, there were talks with Delivery Hero, but the deal didn't happen.
In 2025, Numu Capital bought the majority stake, in preparation for a Tadawul listing.
Valuation? Never disclosed. And the listing? Hasn't happened yet.
The lesson for you as a founder: sometimes the biggest idea comes from a problem in your own day.
