500 Global (formerly 500 Startups) has invested in more than 3,000 startups worldwide, and its assets under management are estimated at about $2.3 billion. It launched its first programs in the region in 2018. In partnership with Sanabil Investments, which is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), it runs the “Sanabil Accelerator by 500 Global” in Riyadh, along with the Sanabil Startup Unlocked bootcamp for companies that want to expand in Saudi Arabia. Its Saudi investments include Foodics (2017) and Classera (2022).
