An initiative launched by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) in 2018 in cooperation with the Capital Market Authority to support the fintech ecosystem in the Kingdom. It includes awareness programs, a fintech accelerator, and partnerships with bank accelerators and investors.
About the program
Fintech Saudi is a government initiative launched by the Saudi Central Bank in 2018 with the aim of making the Kingdom a fintech hub and supporting small and medium enterprises. The initiative ran a fintech accelerator program in partnership with Flat6Labs, whose first cohort launched in 2020 with ten companies, and the 2022 edition had twelve companies across the business and regulatory tracks. In 2025 the initiative took part as a partner in the Arab National Bank accelerator and the S60 accelerator.
Fintech Saudi is an ecosystem initiative, not a single cohort program. Its own Fintech Accelerator (with Flat6Labs) is verified for 2020-21 (1st cohort, 10 startups) and 2022 (12 startups, with Wa'ed); no 2024-2026 cohort of that accelerator was confirmed. Official site fintechsaudi.sa had a TLS error at verification. 2025 activity evidenced by partnership roles in the anb Accelerator and S60 Accelerator.
